Fast forward to birth day...the hospital is so full they don't have room to move us to the post-partum floor like normally would. That meant our nurse was used to caring for moms in labor not ones who had already given birth. She would come in and since things were going so well we would just chat. I had told her our plan about introducing B to his sibling and she let us know that although he couldn't come into our room, if we took Landon to the nursery Brayden could look at him through the window. We decided that would be better than showing him the videos. After we met with the pediatrician Andrew would head home to get Brayden and Grandma. A few minutes later our nurse came in and said when she got back to the nurses station she found out that the flu ban had just been lifted. She had just gotten an e-mail about it. Andrew left almost immediately to head home. While he was gone I got dressed and cleaned up while I waited for them to get back.
Andrew sent me a text to let me know when they were on their way up. I could hear him coming down the hallway and here is what he thought.
He was so excited to meet his baby. He wanted to be right next to him.
I think it was love at first sight for all of us.
