Baptism Celebration

After the celebration at the church we had a small luncheon at our house. After church we waited in the lobby for Andrew to pull the car up and while we were standing there Gracie was pushing Brayden's car seat carrier back and forth and she actually rocked him to sleep. It was so sweet. Once we got home Brayden was wide awake and ready to be passed around. We want to say thanks to everyone who was there with us as it made the day extra special.

Rock, rock Brayden.

Brayden was telling Great Grandma Grace and Great Grandpa Norbert all about his Baptism.

Opps, Mommy had the camera on the wrong setting but look Great Great Aunt Sandi I can make the same face as you.
Hannah, Brayden is really good at playing copy cat. I don't know who looks more excited?

Mommy and Daddy bought a cake for Brayden to celebrate his special day. Here is a picture of it.
Brayden and Daddy posing after church. They look so nice all dressed up.

Mommy really wanted this book so Grandma Becky was able to find it and gave it to Brayden for Baptism... And she rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth while saying I love you forever I like you for always as long as I am living my baby you'll be!

Brayden got a Bible for Me and he wasn't interested in posing with it he wanted to open it and read it instead.

Brayden had a wonderful day! Thanks everyone for sharing it with us.

Brayden's Baptism

On Feb 22nd we had the honor of inviting our friends and family to join us at our church, Lutheran Church of Hope, to baptize Brayden. At our church you must take a class before Baptism, so we took that and then waited for an available Sunday. Our church is so large they only do 7 Baptisms a weekend. Some of you I know are thinking ONLY 7. It was such a great time to have everyone join us for the church and then following church we all went into the chapel. It turned out to be a great day and we felt honored to have so many people there to witness Brayden being welcomed into the family of God!

Celebrating Oma's Birthday

A couple weeks ago it was Oma Darlene's birthday so they came to visit us and celebrate. My Daddy made his famous chocolate cake and homemade icing. We just hung out at our house with everyone and then we went out to eat. We took some pictures of me playing with cousins Ashleigh, Grace, and Brady. Has anyone ever tried to take a picture of 4 kids under the age of 2? Ask my Mommy about that and she would tell you it is impossible! She doesn't know how photographers do it!

Good Night Brady!

Neither of us got the memo to look at the camera!

Uncle Dustin and Cousin Brady are color coordinated.

This is the best shot of the 4 of us that my mommy could get. Ha! Brady and I are hanging out while Ashleigh takes a drink and Gracie tries to put her bow back on her head.

Fun Pictures

Here are just a few recent pictures from around our house. Mommy thought she would share some cute pictures of me. She says I am growing up so fast.

Here is the proof- My mommy always says I smile so much more when taking pictures with Daddy but Daddy says it is because I am looking at Mommy and she makes me smile!

Alright Mommy, here you go. I will smile nice for a picture with you too!

Check out my new toy! This was a toy that Oma's friend Anna May bought for me at my shower. Mommy got it out because she said it would be fun for me to play with. I had a lot of fun but I think Daddy was being a ball hog or maybe he was just showing me how it was done.

My 1st visit to the Airport

Unfortunately my Daddy had to go down to Dallas, TX last week for work but the cool thing was I got to go to the airport for the first time. He flew out on Sunday so we went and dropped him off. I think he was sad to leave me but we knew it would be OK because he was getting back on Monday so he was only gone one night. My Grandma Becky came to stay with mommy and me Sunday night. That way she wasn't alone. My mommy enjoyed the company and Grandma Becky enjoyed seeing me! We went to the airport to pick Daddy up and of course I feel asleep in the car ride there. My mommy just carried me in so that she didn't have to carry the heavy car seat. As soon as we got into the airport my eyes shot open. Wow, there was so much to see! I was looking around taking it all in while mommy and Grandma tried to decide which flight Daddy was on. His plane had been delayed so some of his co-workers got on an earlier flight but it only ended up leaving 20 minutes before their original flight so it was very confusing. The monitors said one flight from Dallas had arrived and the other one was supposed to get in at 6:13. We waited at the bottom of the escalators. I was very happy to see my Daddy but I think Mommy was glad to see him too! He said their plane was delayed because they had to fix the tire. I am so glad they got it fixed and he made it back safely.

Mommy and me waiting patiently for Daddy's plane to arrive.

Hi Daddy! I missed you! I made sure to give Daddy extra hugs and kisses since I missed him so much!

3 Month Professional Picture Debut

Pictures are worth a thousand words! We went and got Brayden's pictures professionally taken when he was 3 months and they turned out great. It took a couple of weeks to get them back but we have them and absolutely love them. He was quite the ham. Here are a few of our favorites!

Look at my smirk! I have her wrapped around my finger :)

I am on top of the world! My Daddy is so much fun.

My Mommy says she loves this picture! It shows off my dimple.

4 Month Update

We had Brayden's 4 month check up today and he did great! He weighs 13lbs. 10 oz. and is 25 in. long. He is in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height! Our doctor commented on his long legs! I think he has Daddy's frame! He was such a tough guy for his shots. He started to cry after the nurse was done with his 1st shot but once she was done and I could pick him up he was much better. On an interesting note, while we were there the Doctor put him on his tummy so she could listen to his heart and he immediately lifted his head up and rocked towards one side. I thought he was going to roll off the table! When she was done she was putting her stethoscope around her neck and he rolled over onto his back! He has been pretty happy since we got home today!

You can't even tell I got shots today!

Mommy had to take another picture like the one she did at 2 months to see how much I have grown. I got plain band-aids this time :( Last time I got Panther colors!

Grandpa bought me my 1st bike!!

My Grandpa Marc took the day after the Superbowl off of work so him and my Grandma Becky made a surprise visit to see me!! They also brought me a few things from their house. My Grandma and Grandpa bought me my 1st bike! It is so cool. My mommy loved to ride bikes when she was little so they thought I might be the same way. The bike is pretty cool because it has a handle that mommy and daddy can use to steer me! Maybe I will be able to use it sometime this summer. They also brought me my very own rocking chair. When my mommy was little my Great Grandpa Norbert made her a wood rocking chair. Well Grandma Becky kept it all these years so that someday she could pass it on! I am working on sitting up so they got a picture of me sitting in it! I am very excited to have my own chair.

All About Me!

Well we have posted a lot lately on the events but I haven't told you what I have been doing so here is a recap of the last few weeks!

Three weeks ago I rolled over when I was playing with mommy. She was taking pictures of me on my tummy and all of I pushed off with my legs and ended up on my back! I don't know who was more shocked mommy or me. Well I have rolled over twice since then but that was a week ago so Mommy was thinking that I forgot. We were playing yesterday and I would lift my head up really tall and look around and mommy was telling me I could do it if I just put my head to the side. I decided to follow her advice and I put my head to the side and used my legs and rolled over. She was very proud of me. We even sent an e-mail to Daddy to inform him. Hopefully this will be a skill I will continue to work on and eventually I will roll from back to tummy.

Lately I have been holding onto anything and everything I can get my hands on. Of all the toys I have my favorite is my rings or keys. I am getting very good at putting them in one hand and switching back and forth. You should see my hand-eye coordination! I take those rings and put them right in my mouth.

The other day I was helping mommy do laundry and she was folding clothes while I was playing next to her and instead of playing with the toys I grabbed some clean clothes and put them in my mouth! That will teach her huh!

I love to smile! My Mommy and Daddy say that I am getting such a fun personality. I am very talkative. I guess I must take after my Mommy there. During the day we get pretty intense conversations going. Sometimes I think she understands what I am saying!

My 1st Superbowl

This year my Mommy and Daddy decided to throw a Superbowl party and invite some of our friends. It was perfect since we had moved into our house recently. Daddy and the boys played poker in the afternoon just like they do every year and then we watched the game at night. It was a lot of fun and we enjoyed having some friends over to help us celebrate. Here are some pictures from our party.

Here I am with Mommy and Daddy practicing my touchdown call. This was before our party.

TOUCHDOWN! I got it down!

Here is Daddy and I in front of our Believe In Now banner. We even bought some decorations to help celebrate.

The boys are all playing poker before the game. I got to join them. I told Daddy when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

Practice makes perfect. Mommy and Daddy-to-be practice by holding me. Baby Girl Lemke is due to make her arrival around the middle of May!

We held a football pool and everyone tried to guess the score at the end of each of the quarters. Todd won the first quarter and he decided to wear his ribbon proudly.

I didn't really want to play with the bad call referee. I was more interested in my rings. We even had little footballs you could throw at the ref when a bad call was made. Don't worry I wasn't laying there once the game started!

My first Superbowl was a success. At the end of the night I was very tired. Since I didn't take an afternoon nap I made up for lost sleep on Monday!
