Splash Park

This summer we loved getting out and enjoying the nice weather.  One place Brayden really loved to go was the splash park.  At the splash park they only have water features that squirt water.  Brayden did not mind getting water in his face.  He would run through the sprinklers and just laugh.  We went and took Daddy one night after work and we all had a blast.

Daddy would hold me in the water and then bring me out and every time I would ask more please.  I couldn't get enough of that water.

After a fun night I am ready to get our things and head home for the night.

Swimming

When we went to celebrate Aunt Crystals birthday we decided to spend the night and stay in a hotel. I was very excited because I knew we were going to be able to go swimming.  I love the water and enjoy swimming.  Oma, Papa, Aunt Crystal, Cousin Grace, Mommy, Daddy and I all went swimming.   We had a lot of fun.  We played 500 with my football, jumped in the pool, and even practiced my swimming skills.  Mommy says she is going to teach me to swim.  So far I really enjoy it.  Check out the pictures.

These pictures are so cute because Brayden went and laid down by Daddy on his own. 

Amen

So many of you know that Brayden has really started picking up new words lately and his latest one is Ah-men.  Before bedtime we say our prayers as part of routine.   If you are trying to put Brayden to bed without saying your prayers he will grab your hands and put them together for you.  He can also fold his hands.  Lately though he will listen as you say the prayer and when you are finished Brayden will chime in with ah-men.  It is so very sweet.  Sometimes Brayden even tries to say his own prayer which I hope God understands.

Enjoying Summertime

This summer we were able to enjoy quite a bit of time outside.  We enjoyed one Saturday afternoon out at Jordan Creek.  We walked around the pond, feed some ducks, and then went out to eat.  Brayden loved looking at the water fountains.  I enjoyed snapping a few pictures.

Open Dat Peas

Brayden has been having a vocabulary explosion recently.  He is trying to copy more words and even putting words together.  His new phrase is open dat peas (open that please).  The greatest thing about this phrase is Brayden's ability to use this phrase correctly.  He will ask open dat peas when he wants you to open the marker lid, open a snack, or open the play dough.  If you try to correct Brayden by saying Open that please he will respond again using his language. So cute! Lately Brayden has a new favorite activity and it includes anything with coloring.  On a daily basis we either color with crayons, use our Color Wonder markers, Color Wonder paint, or use playdough.  We have moved his small table into his playroom and it works out great.  I love color wonder markers for Brayden because in case he goes off of the paper it won't mark on the table.  Brayden has decided he has a favorite color and it is yella (yellow).  He can always identify yellow but he sometimes he thinks everything else is yellow too.
