I love books!

Mommy thought these pictures of me were too funny not to share.

Hmm, which book should I read first?

What Mommy? Didn't you put all these books on the book shelf so I could read them?

I found the one I wanted to read.

Eating at the big table

When we bought Brayden's highchair there were certain features that I just fell in love with and this is reason #123. Okay, so I don't actually have that many reasons but there are a lot. This highchair has been used for about a year now. When we started Brayden on rice cereal we were able to recline the seat so that he was semi-laying back in it. Then once he started eating baby food we were able to sit him up right and add the tray. Once he started table foods we were able to put the tray cover on so that when we were finished we could take the whole cover off and just throw it in the sink. Well now that Brayden has mastered table foods we decided to take his tray off and use the adjustable seat height and bring him up to the table. He still sits in his chair but now the chair is pushed right up to the table. The first night we put him up to the table without his tray he was very excited. Now we are all sitting together at the table to eat. So long to the days of using place mats and tablecloths but they were overrated anyways! Check out the big man himself. Brayden is also getting very good at using a spoon and fork. He hasn't mastered getting it onto his spoon or fork but if you put the food on there to start him off he will pick it up off his plate and get it to his mouth. Then he usually hands you the utensil back because he wants you to put more on it. Our baby is turning into such a big boy!

Daddy, where is my tray?

I am a big boy eating up to the table!

I even know how to use a fork!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!

I could write a few paragraphs and try to explain the fun we had together or I could just show you a ton ( well not literally a ton, but quite a few) pictures and let the pictures explain the story. I think I am going to go with option #2 because you all know how my mama loves to take pictures!

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones... wait this is my 1st really white Christmas. Look at all the snow outside on the deck and it is still coming down!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the snow is... very cold... so I think I am going to go look for some presents to open.

Here is me and Daddy posing in front of the tree.

Ho!Ho!Ho! Here comes Santa's Helper carrying a 49ERS football.

Wow, Thanks Great Uncle Paul and Tammie for the Zoo Clickers. My mama and I have never seen these before. It was the first present I opened and then I wanted Daddy to open the package so I could play with it.

Thanks Daddy for getting my Zoo clickers out of the box. I am off to go play.

You know what they say playing with someone else is much more fun then by yourself. Here Daddy you can have the Tiger while I can play with the elephant.

I love having my Daddy home to play with.

My daycare provider, Jodi got me a new book for Christmas. I love books and it even plays music which is a double bonus in my book!

Daddy, why don't you take a turn opening a present. Well actually how about I just open it for you. I am a very good helper.

Nice coat Daddy!

A train set! Wow! Let me help you get everything out of the box Daddy. Let's set it up and play with it right away.

The train even has a remote controller to make it go. It wouldn't go though without some batteries. Good thing we know a battery man. Fix it please Daddy.

You better not cry, you better not pout cuz Santa will be coming again next year! I was actually getting a little impatient waiting to play with my new train.

Yeah Daddy fixed the remote! It works. Let's watch it go.

I can even push the train around on the track.

Mama wanted to stop and take a picture but I was showing her that I still wanted to play with my trains. One quick picture and I am off to play some more Mom!

After opening up a couple of train sets we decided to take a break and open up the train table and put it together. It is perfect height for me to play at and my train fits on there great. Here comes the train around the corner.

The train was going up the hill. Daddy had the controller and I was watching it go.

Through the tunnel it goes!

Enough of the trains time to play in my new tunnel and play hut. They fold together really small so my Mama loved these. There is a tunnel and then a little house to play in. They are even big enough for Mama and Daddy to play in.

Me and Daddy hiding in the play hut.

Surprise we popped out the top! Mama we see you.
I had a wonderful Christmas and was so thankful to be safe and sound at home and not out in the crazy weather. Daddy said he was glad we had all day because after opening each present I wanted to take it out of the box to play with it. We weren't in any hurry so we enjoyed playing with some new toys. I think I must have been a good boy this year because I got lots of new toys, books, and clothes. There is one last picture for you to enjoy and it is me posing with all of my new stuff. Oh, and thanks Grandma Becky and Grandpa Marc for the train table. It is perfect for my Geotrax.

Where's Mama?

Some of you might have (or maybe you didn't even) notice that my Mommy wasn't in any of those pictures that I posted about dreaming of a white Christmas. Before you get all worried that she wasn't there to enjoy it, I will calm your fears and say she was there to enjoy every second of it. She wanted to enjoy it so much that she was the face behind the very new Cannon Rebel T1i camera she is now the proud owner of. She had been talking to Daddy for a long time now about how she wanted an upgrade her camera. She said something about chasing after a cute little guy, hmm I don't know who that could be. She said she has an awesome camera but was looking for something with faster capabilities. Well since we celebrate her birthday and Christmas at the same time Daddy and I decided to go in together and surprise her with a new camera. She opened her first few presents and was confused. Her and Daddy had talked about buying a new camera after Christmas but her first present was an extra Interstate Battery, and then she got a 8GB memory card, and her 3rd present was a big camera bag but NO camera. Daddy was just teasing her and setting her up for the excitement. She loves it so much that within the last 2 days she has taken over 250 pictures. She is so excited to be able to capture the small moments in life and be able to remember them for a lifetime. Here she is!

This was my favorite present to hold. It was just my size so I never really touched any of the presents under the tree except for this one. I would just carry it around so of course once Mama opened it I wanted to carry it some more.

That is a nice camera bag but isn't it a little big for your small point and shoot digital camera?

Mama is so excited about SLR cameras and learning about them that Daddy even got her a book so she can learn how to take really good pictures of me.

Disclaimer: All though Mama is only in a small percent of pictures she is in lots of video footage that Daddy taped and she actually preferred to be behind the camera. All of the pictures from our Christmas post were taken with Mama's new camera. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as she likes taking them!

Merry Christmas

May God bless you and your family this holiday season! Merry Christmas!

Special Delivery from Brayden

I was hoping to make a big post tonight and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and post pictures of what we have been up to but due to the fact that I can only upload one picture at a time that is going to have to wait. We are iced/snowed in, so we had some great family bonding time today.

When I picked Brayden up from daycare for the last day before winter break he had a present for me and Andrew. I brought it home and put it under our tree and finally today we got to open it. In his present was a book for him from our daycare provider and a hand print from Brayden. They had made these while he was there. It turned out adorable and Brayden was so proud he wanted to carry it around. I snapped a quick picture of him holding it. What a great memory of his 2nd Christmas.

Doesn't he look so proud holding onto it?

We love homemade gifts!

The stockings were hung by the fire

When we got home from Christmas Eve service we saw that Santa had been to our house. We got down our stockings and opened them to find some neat stuff inside. Hopefully this will make you feel like you were here with us celebrating!

Santa brought me some new books. They were even ones I don't already have and I have a lot of books. This is a book about rainforest animals.

My very favorite book is "Ten Little Ladybugs" so Santa brought me one just like it but called "Five Little Honeybees". I wanted Daddy to read it right away. Notice Daddy got new warm gloves and he was trying them on when I brought him my book!

There was a fire truck in my stocking too. I could drive it all around.

Santa brought me some soap for the bath.

Here is picture of me and Mommy after opening our stockings.

Just in case anyone was wondering, here is what I got in my stocking: two new books, UNI Panther t-shirt, fire truck, my 2nd Christmas ornament, and some bath soap.

Thanks Santa!
