Daddy's Little Helper

There is such a special bond between a father and a son and we are so lucky to get to experience this and watch this bond grow. As a baby Brayden was a mama's boy and was always comforted by Mommy but now all this little guy wants to do is be just like Daddy. From the minute Brayden hears the garage door start to go up he runs to the back door to greet Daddy. Usually you have to tell Brayden to back up so Andrew can get in the door and get his coat off. Brayden has gotten so smart lately and we just love watching him grow. He knows that sometimes Daddy may need to get a drink or go put his wallet and phone away before playing so he will now grab Andrew by the hand and almost drag him to whatever toy he wants him to play with. I am so glad Brayden has such a great role model in Andrew. This last weekend Andrew was doing some work around the house and can you guess who was right there to follow? I have a post coming of some of the things we are doing but I wanted to share these pictures first. Brayden is in that stage where he is independent and wants to do everything himself. Andrew was hanging some things for me and needed to use the step stool and Brayden saw that as a perfect climbing opportunity. When Andrew needed a hammer, level, or what he was hanging Brayden wanted me to hand it to him and then he would give it to Andrew. Talk about a big help or maybe a middle man??

Don't worry Mom I am making sure Daddy doesn't fall.

Uhh Dad... I think it needs to be a little more to the right.

I am ready when you need help!

Which is more fun?

Today Mommy got out our Thomas the train set. We were going to make our own railroad throughout the living room but instead I just wanted to climb in the container and take all of the train tracks out and sit in the container. Mommy said I made a big mess but at least I had a fun time doing it. After I took every piece of track out of the container I decided to actually play with the trains. Mommy played with me and we had a lot of fun. I am becoming really good at sharing my toys (well, when I want to). I have my geo-trax trains too so playing with Thomas was special because we don't play with it all the time. This is another way we have fun while staying inside till the temps warm up.

Ok, I am finally ready to play with the tracks you have built.

Here Mommy I found a red train in the container. Do you want to play with it?

What? The container is almost empty.

Lazy Sunday

I love lazy Sundays. We all woke up early and headed to early church. Mommy and Daddy sat in the back this time at the round tables. I guess they didn't want me to be a distraction to others. In the back is where a lot of the families with young kids sit so we fit right in. We even sat at a table that had a little guy just a little bit older then me. After church we headed home and I took a nap. After my nap Daddy and I read the Sunday paper to catch up on the news. Daddy was nice enough to give me the sections of the paper he had already read. He is good at sharing. Nothing too exciting in the paper so once I was done reading I threw all the sections on the floor and decided to run around on them. It made a fun crunching noise when I would step on them.

Hey Daddy, here is a good article.

Hmm... That is interesting.

Do you need something Mommy? I am kind of busy as you can see.

How do we escape the winter blues?

With the cold temps and snowy yard we have been having to find fun ways to use our energy inside lately. One day Mommy got out all of my pop up playhouses and tunnels and we made our very own city inside our living room. Now granted it took up the entire living room but I was able to climb in, out, and around and use up a lot of energy. I even worked up a sweat! Here are some silly pictures.

Grandma put the tunnel on me as I was standing so I picked it up and carried it as I walked.

Daddy was hogging the long tunnel so I decided to climb in on top of him.

It was all fun and games until I wanted to get out but couldn't because Daddy and I were stuck.

Just a fun picture of me!

Daytona 500

This weekend was the beginning of the racing season. Daddy was excited to watch the Daytona 500. We wore our racing outfits and were ready when it came on. I watched the beginning of the race with Daddy before I went and took my nap. The race took forever because I took a nap and was ready for my bath before it was over. Look at my new outfit Daddy picked out!

Check out the new outfit Daddy picked up for me. It is actually a shorts outfit so Mommy found a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt underneath to keep me warm.

Me and Daddy are excited for the race to start.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day from my whole family!

We celebrated Valentine's Day by going and getting doughnuts for breakfast. Mommy and Daddy even let me have one! Yum Yum!

Superbowl Party

We had a Superbowl party at our house and had some friends over and it was a lot of fun. I even had some friends over too not just Mommy and Daddy. In the afternoon Daddy and some of his friends played Poker. I think Caitlin's Daddy was the big winner. We had a pool going during the game too which kept everyone interested in the score. At our Superbowl party I got my first kiss from someone other then family. Let me tell you my girlfriend Caitlin is quite upfront. We were sitting on the floor playing when she crawled right over and kissed me right on the lips. It caught me by surprise but I guess my Mommy knew it was coming because she caught it on camera. Caitlin also tried to give my friend Landry a kiss too. I had fun playing with her because she is crawling all over the place. Here are some pictures from our party.

Daddy and I have this exact picture from last year so we will make it a tradition to take one every year.

I was practicing my catching before our guests came.

Here is Caitlin. She is so cute and likes posing for the camera by sticking her tongue out. Silly Caitlin.

I am learning how to share my toys.

Caitlin is going in for the kill. I tried to back away but she was to quick.

She laid one on me. No one came to help me they all just sat and laughed. Thanks Mommy and Daddy.

Kenzie was reading books to me.

The kissing bandit. Caitlin was giving Baby Landry kisses!

I used to like playing with water bottles, too. Caitlin was enjoying playing with this water bottle.
