Happy New Year!

Grandpa Marc, Me, and Grandma Becky on my first New Years Day! Happy 2009!


I wasn't feeling very well but I sure don't show it! Grandma Becky was holding me but I was smiling at my mommy.

This year for New Years we thought we would stay close to home so we had Rob and Steph come over for a challenging night of Sequence. It was the Nixts vs. Lemkes. The showdown turned out to be a good one. We were getting tired but Holly thought we couldn't end the night on a tie, so we played again towards the end of the night. The Nixt's prevailed but are definitely ready for a rematch at anytime! Although we were able to pull off a victory in Sequence, Rob and Steph beat us in a game of Cranium. We weren't very familiar with the game so they had to show us the ropes. Andrew and Rob were able to make fools of themselves when Andrew had to use Rob as a puppet to try to get Holly to guess March of the Pengiuns. Holly was able to use sleeping Brayden to get Andrew to guess Sprinkler. She had Brayden do the dance move "sprinkler" and Andrew guessed it right away. I bet our neighbors enjoyed the view since we didn't have blinds up yet! Rob and Steph put up a good challenge and we really ended ringing in the New Year with them. Next New Years we will have Baby Girl Lemke to join us! Brayden didn't end up staying up for the ball drop as it was past his bedtime.

New Years Day Grandma Becky and Grandpa Marc decided they would drive down for a visit since Grandpa Marc had the day off. We were going to meet them for lunch but Brayden wasn't feeling like himself so instead they brought lunch to our house. Despite not feeling the best Brayden made sure to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa cuddles. He was even pretty smiley. Here are some pictures of their visit.
