My Room!

My room is almost complete! My mommy and daddy really wanted me to have a neat room so before I was born they picked out bedding they wanted. My daddy was the one who actually picked it out. He has pretty good taste I would have to say. Anyways, the bedding and decorations were all picked out but mommy and daddy decided they wanted to paint to so one Saturday afternoon they set off to paint my room. Here are the results!

Mommy was going to change my clothes so while she got something out I got to stand with Daddy. He was putting up the painters tape to so he didn't accidentally paint my closet or ceiling.

Grandpa Marc let us borrow his new painting gadget which actually is automatic and it sucks the paint through the handle! It is very convenient and made the job a bit easier! Here is my Daddy getting started.

Here is mommy working on some of the detail work. She was painting around the electrical outlets and the baseboards.

Daddy is hard at work.

After two coats and two days to dry, here are Mommy and I standing in front of the newly painted wall. We love the way the color turned out!

Mommy and Daddy got Haircuts!

So Mommy and Daddy have been so busy with me that they were both over due for a hair cut. My mommy decided to chop her off and make it short. I think it looks nice though although it isn't as easy for me to grab anymore! Daddy looks very professional with his hair cut short! You can't see the natural wave he has in it as much. I think I got my mommy's very straight hair! Here are some before and after pictures of mommy and daddy with me!

When we stay at home a lot of time my mommy wears her hair in a pony tail. She says it is much easier that way!

It is so short she can't put it in a pony tail anymore but she says it is much easier to style in the morning which means she can spend more time with me!

Here is my Daddy with his long hair! When he lets it grow long you can start to see the natural curve he has in it!

Here are our excited faces! I love playing with my daddy! Look at how short his hair is! He even puts gel in it which I may need to borrow because mommy can't seem to get my hair to stay down. It always sticks up in the back!

Rascal Flatts

Would you like to know who has the sweetest husband in the world? Yes, the answer is me! I have to say I am very lucky. Andrew is very sneaky when it comes to presents and he always puts a lot of thought into it so this year he asked Grandma Becky if she could come down and babysit so that he could get us tickets to Rascal Flatts. I have always enjoyed their music and they just happened to be playing in Des Moines. He ordered tickets and gave them to me for my Golden Birthday. I was very excited because we hadn't been to a concert since college and I had heard from friends that Rascal Flatts puts on a good show. Well let me tell you it was AWESOME!

We are all ready for the concert and Brayden is all ready for bed. I just wanted to get 1 picture with him before we left but he didn't really want to.

Rocking out right in front of us!

Here we are sitting in our front row seats! Nice work Andrew. I guess it pays to order right when they go on sale huh!

I was loving every minute of this concert but it was especially cool when they would come and sing right in front of us!

Here I am at the end of the show! Good Night, Y'all!

Here is a video I took on my camera when Gary was singing right in front of us! Lots of fun!

Oma, Papa, and Uncle Dustin come to visit!

Oma, Papa, and Uncle Dustin were in town so they came by to visit and to bring my daddy some of his "stuff" from when he was growing up! Oma even found his favorite 49ers sweatshirt as a kid. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit him anymore so mommy put it on and Daddy reminscied about watching the 49ers on TV. Oma said that I look like I have gotten a lot bigger. She even said I felt heavier too! I guess that is a good sign even though my mommy thinks it is sad that her baby is growing up. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Hey Uncle Dustin!

Oma all dressed up but always prepared with the burp cloth.

Hanging out with the boys. I can see that TV and it is on! Let me see.

Hey Daddy I can see you over there. Uncle Dustin knew to look at my mommy but I wanted to look at daddy.

Hanging with my daddy

I love my Daddy. He is a lot of fun and likes playing with me. Here are some recent pictures of us!

Mommy went and got pampered at the Salon while Daddy and I stayed home and hung out together. I know it doesn't look like it but I did miss mommy. Daddy and I had fun though and when mom got home I was fed, changed, and fast asleep! Good job Daddy!

One fish ,two fish, red fish, blue fish. Daddy read me a Dr. Seuss book. It was a book that Santa had brought me for Christmas!

Hi Mommy, I see you. Mommy was trying to sneak pictures while I snuggled with Daddy but I caught her!

Happy 3 Month Birthday Brayden

Who is that good looking guy in the mirror? I don't know but I will smile at him :)

Mommy is trying some different functions on her camera. It was like I was her model!

I am enjoying some good ole bonding time with mommy in my pj's!

Well today marks Brayden's 3 month birthday! Andrew and I looked at pictures yesterday just taking in all the changes he has gone through the last 3 months. Not only looks but also his personality is becoming more apparent to us as well. Brayden is a very smiley little guy. We love just sitting and talking to him and watch him smile back at us. Brayden is even trying to get into the conversation lately as he coos and tries to talk back. The more you talk to him the more he "talks" back. He is starting to bat at toys especially his toys that hang on his carseat. He figured out if he hits them that they make noise and move. We watched him in amazement as he kept trying to bat at them. He is starting to enjoy tummy time more and we are working on strengthening up those neck and back muscles.

Over the last few months we have watched as Brayden has sprawled out length wise. He is long and lean. He hasn't gained much weight but the doctors say it is because he is long. At his last check-up the nurse said look at those long skinny legs!

Brayden continues to amaze us each day and we love watching all those changes. Before long he will be rolling and talking! Here are a few recent pictures of him.
