Summerfest Parade

Last weekend we celebrated Summerfest with a great 2 hour parade.   We went to the same parade last year and Brayden was so wore out he fell asleep an hour into it.  We were a little worried of how he would but he did great.   We invited our friends Steph, Kenzie, and Caitlin.   We sent Andrew early to find us a good seat on the curb.  When we got there the parade had already started but we were able to enjoy it.  Brayden and Caitlin sat on the curb and enjoyed all the treats.   Brayden got a football, a beach ball, and a frisbee.  He was even nice enough to share his treats with the people sitting next to us.  It was such a hot day out that we enjoyed the freeze pops.

I loved waving at EVERYONE that went by.  I even got a beach ball because I was waving at the people handing them out.

I enjoy spending time with Caitlin's Aunt Kenzie.  She is really a lot of fun.  I told her when we took this picture it was going to be her debut on our blog.  So thank you Kenzie for hanging out with us today!

Playdate with Caitlin

After the Summerfest parade we invited Brayden's friend Caitlin to our house to play.  It was so hot out that we got out Brayden's pool, water table, and sprinkler to try to keep the kids cool.  Brayden loved the sprinkler.  He has no fear so we would walk right into it like it was no big deal.  We also got a smart idea by putting Brayden's slide into the pool to make it into a water slide.  Caitlin loved going down the slide.  It was so much fun to have Caitlin, her mommy Steph, and her aunt Kenzie over. 

Watching Videos

Daddy was trying to upload some videos onto our hard drive so while they were uploading I was enjoying watching them. I even laid down and kicked my feet up so that I could enjoy them. I laughed and talked to that cute kid that was on the screen.


Why would I want to play with all those toys when I can watch a video!

Brayden's Haircut

Brayden loves his long hair just as much as we do, but with the hot summer heat it can get quite sweaty so we decided to take him to get his hair cut. This was his 3rd haircut! We had taken him to a childrens barber before but decided to take him to where all the cool guys go to get their haircut, Sports Clips. He really just needed a trim. They allowed Brayden to sit on Andrew's lap and he sat so still. He didn't even move until his stylist turned on the trimmer. When Michelle was done cutting it she even styled it to make it look cool. Brayden loved his faux hawk! He was walking around smiling and waving at everyone. I thought both Brayden and Andrew's haircuts look so nice that I should take a couple pictures when we got home.

St. Loius Zoo

One of our other favorite attractions in St. Louis was their zoo. The zoo in itself is very large and they had tons of different animals. We were impressed with the number of animals they had. We actually went to the zoo twice because there was so much to do. The second day we went we planned on just being there for a few hours and then it turned into all day. Brayden was having such a blast. They have a great train that goes all the way around the zoo so we rode that and Brayden enjoyed it. We were able to see some of animals from the train. Brayden would wave at the animals as we went by. After we got off the train we walked around and anytime we heard the train whistle Brayden would look for the train, wave, and say choo choo. Another attraction we visited was the carousel. We got Safari passes which gave us admission to ride the carousel. Brayden likes the animals that are stationery and don't move. There was a giraffe that didn't move so that was perfect. Brayden loved his ride on the giraffe. Once we got done he walked over and wanted to get in line so Daddy took a turn going with Brayden. They were going to try to ride a tiger instead but Brayden said no and tried to climb off so they went back to our trusty friend the giraffe. Some other highlights of the trip included the penguin house, elephants, and the sea lion show. I took lots of pictures so I have tried to narrow it done to a few (20 or so) of my favorites. This is so much fun. Daddy hold on to me so I don't fall off.

They had the giraffes inside so there were 3 big giraffes in their house.

Daddy, I am getting too big for this stroller. I will just hold it and help Mama push it.

I take my stroller pushing job very seriously. I hold on tight and make sure to stay close by.

Mama was working on her photo taking abilities and I have to say I think I see some improvement. She was able to catch this sea lion mid air and he jumped through a hoop.

This was the one of the other sea lion who could jump so high he would pull a chord to make a bell ring. Those sea lions are pretty talented.

They had some sea lion statues so since we had just seen the sea lion show we decided to pose by them. I was more interested in getting down and looking at the fountain though.

Mama said she wanted to have her picture taken with me too so I posed with her too.

We stopped by the souvenir shop and Daddy told me I could pick something out so I picked out this small giraffe. Mama and Daddy helped me name him Louie. I love him as the rest of the day I would give him a hug.

Lots of elephants! They were hot too so they were hiding back under some trees trying to get some shade.

Magic House

So, I know that I love reading reviews of products, place, or things other moms rave about so here is one of my raves from St. Louis. We went to a place called the Magic House. It is a children's museum but not just any children's museum it is the best one I have ever seen. When we got there Brayden found some balls that you could use to make music and of course he would have played there all day. We went around on the first floor and I was impressed but I soon realized it was stuff for kids a little bit older then Brayden. They had a pretend area filled with a Farmers Market, House, Recycling Center, smart car, and an old General Store. They had so many things you could play with that made these areas perfect for 3-4 year olds. Brayden enjoyed playing with some of the toys in The General Store. We went upstairs and they had a DNA exhibit for ages 6-11. It was a mystery to find out who committed the crime. I thought it looked like fun but Brayden was too interested. Upstairs they also had a miniature town set up with trains so Brayden enjoyed watching the trains. We then went downstairs where we found every little boys dream. It was partially outside and it was a construction site. There was a half finished bathroom that needed the pipes fixed and insulation put in the walls. You could even wear a hard hat. I could tell you more about it but I will leave it for the pictures. We were satisfied after finding that but when we went back upstairs we found the greatest area of all. It was an area that had an employee standing at the gate and it was just for toddlers! It included a tree house, bank, water table, sand table, slides, climbing features, big lego area. When Brayden walked in he was so excited he didn't know what to play with first. We tried to hit up all the big areas. Once we were done there we went down the hall where they were playing music and it was a awesome gym type area where they had hula hoops, balls, jump ropes, and other exercise equipment. I only wish we had something like this close to us because we could have stayed all day.

One of the first things Brayden found was a musical instrument that had these balls on it. He was trying to see how many he could carry at once.

You mean you wear this for the whole game? It is a little heavy Daddy.

I love to paint. Mommy says maybe I could help when her and Daddy paint their bedroom.

I even tried to paint the floor. Have no fear there wasn't any real paint but I was doing a good job of pretending.

It's a dirty job but someones gotta do it.

Mommy, I bet my car can go faster then your car.

I love playing in the water. Mommy even played with me. The water was cold but I didn't mind the temperature.

Uh, is anyone watching the kid who is crawling in the water? So all of the parents were standing behind the glass cube wall so Mommy decided to step to the side so she wasn't in the way of other parents watching their kids. When she did it was my perfect opportunity to try to dive in. Unfortunately she wasn't very far away because before I could get in she stopped me. The other kids were all older then me.
