My 1st Mothers Day

This was my 1st Mother's Day and Andrew and Brayden made sure it was a good one. Brayden was a very good and I think it was because he knew it was Mother's Day.

They got me the best gift ever! It was a beautiful digital picture frame that Andrew had already put pictures on. It started with a belly shot before Brayden was born and then it went through all the pictures we had taken of just Brayden and I. It was awesome and I love watching the slide show. It even has music with it. On top of having pictures on it you can also download videos. Last weekend I was in Omaha with my mom and I left Brayden home with Andrew so while I was gone they made a video to put on my frame of all the reasons Brayden was thankful for Mommy. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. When we got home on Sunday Andrew told me that there was a surprise out on the deck and when I went out there I found a hanging plant! Andrew said it was Brayden's idea :) It has pretty pink flowers. Sunday night, Andrew even grilled supper for me while I played with Brayden. It was such a fun day to spend with my family!

Happy Mother's Day Mommy

My mommy is the best. This was her day, and I think she had a great time. I got her a hanging plant and a digital picture frame (of course it had pictures and videos of me and my mommy on it). Thank you for everything you do for me mommy! I love you so much!

Welcome to the Jungle!

When we were anxiously waiting for Brayden, we like most first time parents researched car seats, cribs, exosaucers, swings and everything else under the sun that you could possibly need for a baby. We wanted to find the perfect bedding that we could use to create that perfect nursery. Andrew actually picked it out but I fell in love with it to. It was a jungle theme with lions, monkeys, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. His room went there many stages as we worked on it, one step at a time. We got the perfect accessories to make his room extra special. By the way, did you know Brayden's room is the only room we have painted? We love how it has turned out and I thought I would share some pictures of the transformation his room has undergone!

It all started on Halloween when we took Brayden to go see our house and that was when he claimed his room.

This shows Brayden's jungle theme. Andrew created the mural above Brayden's bed and he loves to look up and talk to those animals.

We had these letters made special for Brayden. They turned out great and he loves looking up at them. By the way, it seems like a recent trend that every kid I know has their name spelled out in some sort of letters somewhere in their room! Coming from a teacher, that is a great way to help children learn their names and letter recognition :)

On one side of his room he has his changing station, clothes hamper, bookshelf, reading corner, and his growth chart.

Brayden is lucky because I had a large collection of books before he came along that I used for teaching but I decided that I give them to him and put them in his room, so he has so many books that he has some on his bookshelf but he has another bookshelf in his closet with more books!

Who wouldn't want to wake up to that face everyday? I know Andrew and I count our blessings each day as we are able to see Brayden grow and change right before our eyes. We love you Brayden!

Just Like Daddy

This post is exactly what the title says, pictures of my two favorite boys. Brayden just loves spending time with Daddy and I, of course love watching the two of them interact. Andrew is such a great Dad and I couldn't be more thankful for that.

We got grass now! Yeah but of course it needs watered EVERY day so here are Andrew and Brayden watering the yard. Brayden loved watching the sprinklers.

How cute is that? Brayden and Andrew even match with them both wearing red.

After we got done watering the yard we took Brayden for a walk. I just love this picture!

Visiting Sara

My Godmother Sara lives in town but only for about 50 more days:( Then she is getting married and I think she is going to move to Nebraska. So I wanted to spend some time with her before she leaves so Mommy and I went and met her after work one night. We went to one of their favorite places, Dairy Queen, and Sara even said that when I get a little older she would take me there! I watched her very carefully as she ate her yummy ice cream. I can't wait till I can try some. After Dairy Queen we hopped on some walking trails and went for a walk. We did this a couple of weeks ago when we had that gorgeous weather. Mommy took some pictures of us so I thought I would share them. I had a lot of fun checking out some new scenery and hearing all about those wedding details, ok so maybe I didn't really enjoy the wedding talk but I know Mommy sure liked hearing about it!

Sara and I look like we coordinated our outfits! This was my 1st time at Dairy Queen. I can't wait to take Sara up on her offer of taking me back there when I get older!

We were walking on some trails by where Sara used to live. Doesn't the weather look nice. I can't wait for it to come back so I can play outside!

Brayden has Teeth!

At his 6 month appointment the Doctor said Brayden's teeth were coming in. I, of course thought they were coming a long time ago. About 3 days after his appointment I was feeling his gums and I told Andrew I really did feel them. Last week we knew they were getting close because you could feel the bumps. On Sunday not only did we feel the bumps but we saw white! Those pearly whites are making their appearance. In this last week they have really come up. Now you can see them clear as day! If you dare put your finger in his mouth you can feel them too. I tried to get a couple pictures of his teeth but they didn't turn out so I guess you will have to wait until they get a little bit bigger but don't worry I wouldn't make a post without a picture!

Here is my attempt to show off his teeth. It looks as if Brayden is saying Aaahhh. He even had his tongue back so you have a clear shot. If you look real close you can see the little white bumps on the bottom.

Just a fun photo of Mother and Son!

Minnesota Wild

I love weekends with my Daddy. On Saturday Mommy said Daddy could help me get ready and he does things a little bit differently then Mommy. We went into my room and he opened up the closet and asked me what I felt like wearing. Mommy usually picks it out for me. Thankfully when Grandma Becky was at my house she organized my closet by size so I knew exactly which outfits fit me. After taking a close look at my options I decided I wanted to wear my Minnesota Wild warm up outfit. I can't really talk yet so instead I told Daddy that was what I picked by ever so gracefully pulling on the jacket and eventually making it fall off of the hanger. I looked pretty cool in my new outfit so I thought I would make a post for all those Wild Hockey fans out there, well mainly just the Lorenz family but maybe there are more of you that we don't know about. Anyways, here are some pics of my sporting Mommy roots, Minnesota. By the way, thanks Pat for the outfit! I think I looked pretty cool!

Here I am sporting my Wild gear and sitting on my own. Mommy doesn't quite trust me all the time though.

Showing off the whole outfit and how well it fits!
